Calling out Companies
Part of Final Year Project - 2019
A project to raise awareness about the companies with the worst pay gaps in their sector in the UK. These postcards were distributed and displayed in various locations linked to the companies for the public to see to provoke change.
Illustrations and type printed onto A5 cards. Left on a Ryanair plane, in a Barclays bank, in a Boux Avenue shop and tucked inside The Telegraph newspaper for the reader to find.
The design concept has a similar style to the Monopoly board game to demonstrate how these companies are big business which revolve around money. The colours of each postcard link to their brand colours to make them recognisable to the audience.
They’re printed A5 with a description on the back of their pay gap. All these companies have the worst pay gaps in their section. The statistics are from GOV.uk to inform and shock the viewer.
The postcards were left in various places relating to their company, including on a Ryanair aeroplane. The aim is that an unsuspecting person will come across one and hopefully will provoke thought and inform them on the pay gap of that company. It shows the numbers the businesses don’t want you to know.
